How I Found Allah in the Smallest Things
Have you ever felt like you are alone in this world, struggling to find your way and your purpose? Have you ever wondered if there is someone who cares for you, who listens to you, who loves you unconditionally?
I have. And I still do sometimes. But I have also learned to see Allah in the smallest things, in the most unexpected places, in the most ordinary moments.
Let me tell you a story.
One day, I was feeling very low and hopeless. I had no one to talk to, no one to comfort me, no one to understand me. I felt like I was drowning in a sea of darkness and despair.
I decided to go for a walk, hoping to clear my mind and find some peace. As I was walking, I noticed a small ant crawling on the sidewalk. It was carrying a tiny grain of sand on its back, trying to reach its nest. It seemed so insignificant and powerless, yet so determined and persistent.
I thought to myself: How does this ant know where to go? How does it know what to do? How does it survive in this harsh and cruel world?
Then it hit me: This ant is not alone. It has a guardian, a protector, a provider. It has Allah.
Allah, who created this ant and gave it life. Allah, who guides this ant and gives it direction. Allah, who sustains this ant and gives it strength.
I realized that I am not so different from this ant. I am also a creation of Allah, a servant of Allah, a lover of Allah.
Allah, who has been with me since before I was born. Allah, who has blessed me with every breath and every heartbeat. Allah, who has given me eyes to see, ears to hear, tongue to speak, lips to smile.
Allah, who has shown me mercy and grace in every situation. Allah, who has tested me and taught me in every challenge. Allah, who has supported me and saved me in every difficulty.
Allah, who is the most beautiful and the most loving. Allah, who wants me to be beautiful and loving too. Allah, who wants me to be pure and sincere in my faith and actions.
Allah, who is closer to me than my jugular vein. Allah, who hears my prayers and answers my calls. Allah, who knows my thoughts and feelings better than myself.
Allah, who is the source of all goodness and happiness. Allah, who is the ultimate goal and destination. Allah, who is the only one worthy of worship and praise.
As I continued walking, I felt a surge of gratitude and joy in my heart. I felt a connection and a bond with Allah that I had never felt before.
I looked up at the sky and saw the sun shining brightly. I looked around and saw the trees swaying gently. I looked down and saw the flowers blooming beautifully.
I realized that everything around me is a sign of Allah’s existence and power. Everything around me is a gift of Allah’s generosity and kindness. Everything around me is a reminder of Allah’s love and care.
I smiled and said: My Lord, indeed I am in need of whatever good You would send down to me.
And then I heard a voice in my soul saying: My servant, indeed I am with you whatever you would do for Me.
That was the day I found Allah in the smallest things.
And ever since then, I start every morning with remembering Him.
What about you?
Do you see Allah in the smallest things?
Do you feel His presence in your life?
Do you thank Him for His blessings?
Do you love Him more than anything else?
If not, then maybe it’s time to look closer.
Maybe it’s time to open your eyes, your ears, your heart.
Maybe it’s time to find Allah in the smallest things.
And maybe then you will find yourself too.
May Allah bless you all! 🙏❤️
